Our canoe skills progression is designed to meet you at your existing skill level, whether you are a beginner-intermediate-advanced solo or tandem canoeist. We recommend taking 3-5 days of our progression for best results.

Jordan (he/they) has been instructing canoeing since 1993 at many of the top canoe programs: Madawaska Canoe Center, NOLS, NC Outward Bound, and Davidson College. He is an ACA Level 4 Canoe Instructor Trainer. There are ways of moving in whitewater that only canoes can capture. Come join us for fun and excitement, open boat style!
Beginner: Day 1-2
Intermediate: Day 2-4
Intermediate+/Advanced: Day 3-5
SCHEDULE: Day 1 Flatwater Strokes, drills and Maneuvers, Intro to moving water
Venue: Pond, and easy moving water
Day 2 moving water drills and intro to rapid running. Venue:Easy Moving water, easy rapid
Day 3 Flatwater stroke refinement
Moving water Drills, Rapid Running.
Pond, easy moving water, Class 1-2+ river running (Boy Scout Camp to Hwy M)
Day 4 Flatwater tune up, moving water drills, river running (Boy Scout Camp to Gilmores)
Day 5 advanced Flatwater drills, whitewater drills river running. Peshtigo?!
